Q.What is Mobile Unlocking and why would I want to do it?
A.If you want to change network operator, you would have to pay operator quite a hefty sum to do so, basically because they don't want you to join someone else for the obvious
reason that they would lose your money! There are hundreds of network operators around the globe that lock their phones onto their networks.
So, what do we do? We simply un-lock the sim locks from the phone so that you can use any other compatible network or same network as you please - the way we think it
should be! Please note that we can unlock the present active band and can not add any additional bands to your phone(s). Many times International Travelers have to unlock sim as the
network has no arrangements or service available in other countries.
While visiting others countries using local network reduces cost considerably then International Roaming Facility. Phones
are unlocked to use customized settings as per the customer's need. |
Q.What is the difference between Remote Unlocking and unlocking With Data Cable?
A.We presently offer unlocking services of two types:-
1) Remote Unlocking - The customer sends in the unique IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number or the ESN (electronic serial number), a unique identification
code for his phone, along with the Network to which it is locked. On order confirmation, we give a Tracking Number
to track the status of the unlock request. Thereafter, our engineers use Special Softwares designed specifically for
calculating codes and post them on the website. The customer is notified through an Invoice which carries the Unlock
Code. Alternately, the customer can Check Order Status online, by filling in the Tracking Number and the IMEI/ESN number.
2) Unlocking With Data Cable - Unlocking in such cases is done using Data cable and software. On
receipt of order, we shall dispatch a Data Cable via DHL. The customer is notified about the cable dispatch through
an Invoice which contains the software link to be used. Note: Software(s) must be used with the Data Cable(s) sent
by GSMLOCKER.COM or else the unlocking may not be successful.Refunds in such cases, are not applicable.

Q. I need a Data Cable for my phone. Can I buy one from GSMLOCKER.COM?
A. If its only a data cable you want, then GSMLOCKER.COM IS NOT selling them. Data Cables
are only provided along with our unlock service. If you want to get your phone unlocked and the unlocking is possible With
Data Cable, then ONLY shall we send a data cable. As such, GSMLOCKER.COM does not sell Data Cables. |
Q. When should I order Unlock Software? A. If your phone
is locked and you have the requisite Data Cable that is compatible with our Software, then you should order our Unlock Software
service. On receipt of order, we shall send you a software link / CD and login to be used along with the compatible Cable.
Your phone shall be unlocked and ready to use across networks. Note: Unlock softwares must be used along with
the compatible Data Cable. Softwares are applicable to GSM phone models ONLY. Please read our terms before ordering unlock
software(s). |
Q. How do I unlock my Treo 600? A. We presently offer services
for Treo 600 GSM unlocking:- On receipt of order, we shall send a software link. The software
is compatible with the HotSync Cable and is used to unlock the phone. |
Q. How do I unlock my Motorola MPx200 or Microsoft SPV? A.
GSMLOCKER.COM shall send you a software for unlocking Motorola MPx200 or Microsoft SPV. The software is compatible with the
USB Cable you received along with the box of the phone. Use the software along with the Data Cable and your phone shall be unlocked. |
Q. How do I unlock my Smartphone? A. Smartphone unlocking services are
presently being offered to: O2 XDA, O2 XDAII and Siemens SX56. On order confirmation,
we shall dispatch a Serial Data Cable for unlocking your phone. The same is to be used along with a software, for which the download link is sent in the Invoice. |
Q. How do I unlock my Blackberry and Nec phone? A. Blackberry
and Nec phones need to be shipped to us for unlocking. We shall unlock and ship your phone back. |
Q. How can I check my phone firmware version (phone software Version)? A. Power ON your phone and type *>*<<*<* and
go to Service Info Menu and go to SW Information Menu and Press OK. (< Joystick-left , > Joystick-right, * Asterisk Key)
You will see current SW version in your phone (for example R1L013 or R3C002 for T610). |
